  • 1991-1997: Studies in Metallurgy & Material Sciences at RWTH Aachen University, Germany

  • 1997-2002: PhD at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering at RWTH Aachen University under Professor Klocke

  • 2002-2020: Various management positions in Research & Development, Product Development and Advanced Engineering at the Hirschvogel Automotive Group

  • Since 2013: Initiator und Chairman of the LIGHTWEIGHTforging Inititiave

  • Since April 2020: Majority shareholder and CEO of prosimalys GmbH

  • 1985-1992: Studies in Mechanical Engineering at Zhejiang University, China

  • 1995-2000: Studies in Mechanical Engineering at TU Berlin, Germany 

  • 2000-2002: TÜV Auditor and Project Manager: ISO9000 and ISO/TS 16949

  • 2002-2012: Head of QM, Production and Maintenance at Hirschvogel Automotive Components Co., Ltd. in China

  • 2012-2020: Project Manager, international machine and plant projects at Hirschvogel Automotive Group, Germany

  • Since May 2020: Senior Expert at prosimalys GmbH, focus on press technology, machine procurement and plant design



Dipl.-Ing. Michael Dahme:

Engineering services enable the customer to source competencies project by project, without having to bear the fixed costs on a continuous basis. Our services are more comprehensive than those of other engineering consultants. This is because we combine our expertise in materials, simulation and design with longstanding experience in manufacturing processes. This is rounded off with failure analyses to form a unique package.

The market needs these competencies in order to develop components that can withstand ever greater loads. These components fulfil the increasingly demanding requirements in terms of lightweighting, cost-reduction and minimized CO₂ emissions. That is why I am committed to prosimalys as a shareholder.
